Rebreather Training Council Publishes New Standard

The Rebreather Training Council is a body representing leading training organisations that offer rebreather training. Presently, ten organisations are members and work together to exchange information and create agreed training standards and operational protocols. In 2017, the RTC published the RTC Recreational Rebreather Diver Level 1 standard, now, the RTC has also published the RTC Technical Rebreather Diver Level 1. The RTC is working on further, higher level standards that will continue to improve diver safety and standardise global rebreather training.

All RTC standards are located here.

RTC’s policy regarding any additional requirements stipulated by the manufacturers of rebreathers can be accessed from the same page.

PADI is pleased to advise it members that the PADI Tec 40 CCR Diver Course is inline and meets the RTC Technical Rebreather Diver Level 1 standard.
