PADI Staff dive at Inner Space 2012

Some PADI staff were able to try some new approaches for the Type R recreational rebreather training envelope at Inner Space in the Cayman Islands earlier this month. Mark Caney, VP, Rebreather Technologies, diving here wearing a Poseidon MkVI CCR in the company of Kevin Gurr who is using a prototype Hollis Explorer eSCR. Later Caney and Karl Shreeves tested the Explorer unit underwater which is based on a ground breaking electronically controlled semi-closed principle.
