TecRec Instructor Trainer Crossover Feedback – Part 1

On 16th March PADI completed the first orientation program for Instructor Trainers in the PADI TecRec system. Four extremely experienced Instructor Trainers (ITs) from other agencies attended the event. Now the staff and participants speak out.

Mark Caney:

VP, Rebreather Technologies, PADI Technical Diving Division.

Running a program of this nature is very enjoyable for me as we are working with professionals at the top of their game. As well as being able to explain the logic behind the existing PADI TecRec range, we discussed the forthcoming rebreather courses and had several constructive discussions about various facets of technical diving. I am very pleased to see that such experienced individuals can see the advantages of the PADI TecRec approach; certainly the valid educational model combined with our marketing savvy and industry presence gives them a valuable resource to work with well into the future.

Mathew Partridge:

Technical Director, Pro-Tech Dive College

BA(Hons) – Business Management & Marketing

“Having taught the original DSAT curriculum over the last decade it was great to be part of the transition to the new PADI TecRec Range, a more streamlined program without losing any of the high quality course content. It was a pleasure to be invited by PADI to attend their first Instructor Trainer Crossover recently held in Sydney March 2011. The IT program content was very dynamic and informative. I’m sure we will be seeing great things develop in the coming months as PADI continue to introduce and improve their TecRec range. Thanks for the opportunity.
