Thomas Knedlik has just been appointed as a Technical Consultant in PADI’s Technical Diving Division. Thomas became a PADI Instructor in 2000 and had his first technical diving experience by completing a PADI Atlantis/Dolphin Rebreather course in early 2002. After joining PADI Asia Pacific as a full-time Instructor Examiner in February 2006 he enrolled into the Tec Deep program and is now certified as a PADI Tec Deep Instructor Trainer and full Tec Trimix Diver. Lately he completed training in the caves and caverns around Mt. Gambier in South Australia and became a member of the Cave Diving Association of Australia (CDAA).
He has recently purchased a closed circuit rebreather (AP Inspiration Vision) and is now working to get his ratings and experience up to become a CCR Instructor. Thomas takes every opportunity he can get to get in the water. The wrecks on the North and South coast of Sydney offer a fantastic opportunity for him to keep his skills current and to extend his experience. There are several wrecks situated along the coast in depths ranging from 45 meters to over 85 meters. The next trip is already in the making.
