Steve Mortimer organised a two day expedition on the Atlantic Diver to dive the Armenian. She was a mule transport ship owned by the White Star Line and was sunk during the First World War. In June 1915 she was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-24 off Trevose Head in Cornwall after the crew were allowed to abandon ship.

The divers were surprised to find a large bull grey seal on the wreck – obviously a very competent breath-hold diver. Rick Waring, who was diving with a CCR, recovered the bell and has declared his find to the Receiver of Wreck.
