Diving in the Eagle’s Nest

Steve MortellSteve Mortell, Director of Cave Diving in PADI’s Technical Diving Division, recently made a dive in the Eagle’s Nest, described by some as the Mount Everest of Cave Diving. Just prior to the DEMA show, Steve along with Jeff Loflin, Bobby Smallwood and Kevin Kirk headed to Lockwood tunnel reaching approximately 650 feet back in the system.

  1. Dove Eagle’s Nest a few years ago and went down to 285ft with Shelley Orlowski and Victor Cordoba. It was a great dive. I believe your experience should have been even more fashinating considering the long penetration you did. Congratulations!

  2. Eagles Nest is a cave dive that makes all the
training worthwhile, a truly mind blowing
    experience.
