The DSAT Technical Diving Division has announced the appointment of Kelly Rockwood as a Technical Consultant. Kelly began diving in 1995, became a PADI Instructor in 1996, and in 1997 with a partner, started a PADI Dive Center in land-locked Idaho, USA. This dive center eventually became two PADI 5 Star IDC Centers. In 1998, Kelly completed a full cave certification. In 2000, the technical bug hit, mostly to travel further and stay longer in caves. 2002 brought a DSAT Tec Deep and a Normoxic Trimix certification. Among Kelly’s credentials are Cavern Trainer, DSAT Tec Trimix Blender Trainer and DSAT Tec Deep Trainer. Besides cave diving, Kelly has also enjoyed some excellent deep wrecks like the Rhein (75 m/245 ft), the Araby Maid (64 m/210 ft) and the German submarine U-2513 (67 m/218 ft). When not cave diving, Kelly is a passionate amateur photographer and has had the good fortune to travel the world in pursuit of the ultimate underwater image. These days, Kelly is sticking closer to home and works as a TQM Consultant for PADI Americas and can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Sorry is Kelly the lady or the man?
Kelly is the lady.
We had the opportunity to have Kelly as our Course Director at Seven Seas Scuba until PADI swooped her up earlier this year! 🙂 Great to read that she is has been appointed as a Technical Consultant as well! She is an excellent, knowledgeable, and open resource!!
The male in the photo is Cozumel cave dive guide German Mendoza.
