With immediate effect, Vikki Batten has been appointed Director, Rebreather Technologies in the PADI Technical Diving Division. Vikki has a vast amount of experience with rebreathers and is a TecRec Instructor Trainer for all levels of rebreather training to Tec CCR 100. She was heavily involved in the design, testing and launch of the TecRec range of rebreather courses. She has used rebreathers extensively, particularly in cave explorations, and her new position recognises her special abilities and contributions to the PADI TecRec range.

Vikki’s role in PADI Europe, Middle East and Africa is not altered by this appointment where she continues in her position of Technical Consultant and reports to Rich Somerset, Supervisor, Training and Quality Management.

Simultaneously, Mark Caney’s title has changed to Vice President, Technical Diving Division. This better reflects his role which encompasses all aspects of technical diving and the TecRec range. Mark continues to report to Dr Drew Richardson who is President of the PADI Technical Diving Division. Mark also continues his primary duties as Vice President, Training and Customer Services in PADI Europe, Middle East and Africa.
