OZTeK’ 11
With this year’s OZTeK’11 Dive Conference and Exhibition now only weeks away, plans are already underway for the staging of the 2013 event, tentatively scheduled for the 16th and 17th March 2013.
To again be staged in the Conference & Exhibition Centre, at Australian Technology Park, in Sydney, Australia – but with an expanded exhibition presence – the biennial format will continue to provide a forum and a focal point for divers keen to learn more and who are prepared to accept the challenges made possible by new diving technologies.
Continuing to feature theatre presentations, seminars and workshops combined with exhibits promoting everything that divers want and need – from the latest equipment innovations through to the very best in dive travel destinations – the OZTeK2013 event will again feature many of modern diving’s most accomplished authorities as speakers, and include evening presentations, a Gala Awards Dinner, and the re-introduction of the re-vamped and free-to-enter Imagery Competition.
But for those who feel that two-years is a long time to wait, there’s always next year, 2012 ….
The OZTeK 2012 ‘Down-Time’ Symposium
Responding to calls for greater frequency in the staging of the Conference component of the biennial OZTeK event, the inaugural two-day, OZTeK2012 ‘Down-Time’ symposium will be held in the main theatre at Australian Technology Park , Sydney, over the week-end of the 10th and 11th March 2012.
Focussed entirely on cutting-edge diving technology, underwater exploration; hyperbaric medicine and physiology, developments in advanced training techniques and more, the emphasis will be on presentations given in the main auditorium by diving identities drawn from around the world; all of whom are widely acknowledged as being leaders in their respective fields of diving expertise.
While a reduced number of break-out rooms will be made available on a limited basis for special-interest seminars and workshops, the focus of the week-end’s programme will be on the main auditorium and the opportunity to learn from – and be entertained by – some of modern diving’s most knowledgeable personalities.
Although highlighting diving’s status as an evolving activity that demands both knowledge and constant vigilance if it’s to be performed in as safe a manner as possible, the OZTeK2012 ‘Down-Time’ symposium promises a stimulating two-days to help pave the way for future underwater adventures.
Maintaining OZTeK’s momentum as a diving forum without equal, detailed information about OZTeK2013 as well as the OZTeK2012 ‘Down-Time’ Symposium – including the Saturday night 2012 Gala AWARDS Dinner – will begin to appear on the website at, www.diveoztek.com.au in late April.
