TecRec Forums In Asia Pacific Region
The following announcement has just been released to TecRec instructors in the PADI Asia Pacific region:
We recently invited you to attend the DSAT Technical Diving Division’s Seminar and Workshop at OZTeK 2009. It was good to see so many Members attending the conference. The two presentations titled – CCRs: Tec or Rec? and The dark side of PADI: DSAT Technical Courses – were well received and the DSAT Member Forum was well attended with a total of 30 attendants.
The discussions at the forum focused on feedback from the field relating to the structure of the Tec Deep Diver course and a discussion of a proposed course revision built on these recommendations from the field. DSAT also announced a new opportunity for appropriately qualified and experienced DSAT trainers to create and submit DSAT Distinctive Specialties for technical training courses that are currently outside the scope of the DSAT Tec Deep and DSAT Tec Trimix. This OZTeK 09 forum was the first in a sequence of roundtable discussions planned for venues throughout the Asia Pacific Region in 2009.
We are pleased to announce the following dates for the next wave of DSAT roundtable discussions that will be run in conjunction with PADI Instructor Examinations in your area: April 26 – Phuket, Thailand April 30 – Koh Tao, Thailand May 9 – Hong Kong June 10 – Puerto Galera, Philippines June 21 – Pattaya, Thailand.
We hope to see you at one of these venues and look forward to your professional contributions and perspective. Please RSVP to alex.boulton@padi.com.au if you will be attending .
